The life we live, well being a skateboarder is a dream to most. Yet it can be such a nightmare to the few behind the skate curtain. Who did what, on what, is a daily battle and why can’t you take that foto, just cuz some other mall jockey did it first. Well this would leave us at the ollie... Who’s on first again? When you live and breath skateboarding, 24/7 like me it can be a little overwhelming. Kids nowadays are so good, the standard is set so high. They see switch inward heels as a basic trick. It is only natural, progression. The life... was so much easier, when all I had to worry about was a “captain cave man” down a 5 stair, slappy grinds were big guns, switch was fake-e, see easy.
I can only imagine the future, or the fact that my future is stuck in the past. I love slappy`s. Turning pro at age 12 what the hell! In my book you got pay your dues to the “slam gods” but in today’s book it’s a “check book”. A twelve year old can be pro a lot longer then a 22 year old, but when you rip you rip. RIP also spells Rest In Peace. Chew on that you young “wiper snappers”...(I have been waiting a long time to say that and it be relevant)
over and out,
